What is Magnolia Cottage?
Magnolia Cottage is considered an "Elegant evening in the Old South" and should prove to be an evening of great food, wonderful ambiance and interesting tales.
Situated near the bank of the Coosa river, in Wetumpka, Alabama, Magnolia Cottage was recently opened by the Moody family that served wonderful meals and hosted beautiful wedding receptions at Chantilly Inn located in Montgomery and at Marengo Plantation located in Lowndesboro.
 Upon arrival you will be welcomed by Jane Moody who will show you around and make you feel comfortable. When you enter the Chesterfield Tavern, filled with pictures of horse scenes and Toby mugs, you will feel as though you left the country and landed in an English pub. The bartender will be there to listen to you, pour you a drink and make interesting conversation. You are welcome to relax and chat with your friends in the Cottage Sitting Room before the dinner bell rings. Whether you are dining in the Magnolia Room or the History Room, you are sure to love the oriental carpets, antique furnishings and exquisite décor
 Open for "reservation only" private events, Magnolia Cottage is sure to be a place you will want to schedule your next cocktail party, company dinner, retirement party, anniversary party, birthday event, rehearsal dinner or wedding.
Magnolia Cottage does not have a liquor license. However, guests are welcome to bring beer, wine and/or spirits for before and during dinner. The tavern will provide a cooler, mixers and soft drinks at no additional cost. You may want to bring a bottle of wine for each table and something for before dinner.
Event Scheduling: For dinner parties - A minimum group of 28 is required to "open" the house. The maximum the house can seat is 44. However, if a party of less than 44 is already booked, it may be possible to "add on". For other events, please call us to find out the minimum and maximum guests allowed.
Menu: Complementary Aperitif, Cream of Broccoli Soup, Salad (seasonal), Lemon Sorbet, Entrée, Potatoes, Fresh Asparagus and Dessert (seasonal).
Entrée Choices: The booking party has the choice of one entrée: Charcoal Grilled Bacon wrapped Angus Filet Mignon or Slow Roasted Prime Rib. However, Prime Rib is only available for parties of no more than 32 persons. NOTE: Add-on parties are served the entrée chosen by the booking party.
Arrival Time: The house opens at 6:00 p.m. - We suggest Dinner is served promptly at 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. Times may be adjusted to fit your needs. If you plan to have cocktails before dinner, we suggest guests arrive at least 45minutes priorto the dinner time.

 Directions: Take 231 to Wetumpka turn left at the Am South Bank and continue until it dead-ends at a traffic light. Turn left and go over the Bibb-Graves Bridge. Turn right immediately after crossing the bridge on to N. Bridge Street. Magnolia Cottage is the third structure on your right. There is a large Magnolia tree in the yard.
Parking: Park at the Prissy Hen - 104 N. Bridge Street. It is the first structure on your right just over the Bibb-Graves Bridge.

Restrictions: Because we consider dinner at Magnolia Cottage an adult evening out, children under 10 are not encouraged - however, nursing infants are acceptable.
 Payment Method: Personal Checks or Cash ONLY. No credit cards are accepted at this time.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made within 48 hours of the scheduled event.
NOTE: If there is anyone in your party that cannot eat something on the menu chosen, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to make the necessary changes.
